Text from Actes 18:9

God has wonderful plans for each of his children. He says in his Word

for I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

(Jérermy 29:11, LS).

To carry out God’s plans for our lives, here are 04 things to do. The aim is to resist the devil and not be afraid to do what God wants us to do.

Trust in God

First and foremost, a Christian must trust in God. Trusting in God testifies to our faith, to our belonging to Him, and removes from us the feeling of fear. This feeling (fear) is the element most often used by the enemy to dissuade us from doing God’s will. That’s why, if we trust in God, we can easily and fearlessly do what is required of us. On God rest my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, my refuge, is in God.
Psalms 62:8

Turn to God’s Word

The Word of God is life for those who hear it and receive it into their hearts. An indispensable element for the accomplishment of God’s works in the lives of His children, the Word has the power of resurrection, healing and salvation for all who believe in it. It is the element by which all things are made. Therefore, to hinder the word is to hinder the works of God in the life of each of His children. So, as children of God, we must constantly share, speak and live God’s word. For the word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the point of separating soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the feelings and thoughts of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12

Be in God’s presence

When we are in Christ, we have with us and within us the full power and presence of God, the Holy Spirit. Through Him, we know that God is with us in all our endeavors, and no matter what the circumstances, He never abandons us. His presence is with us every day until the end of time. Awareness of this means we can walk without fear or dread of tomorrow. Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age..
Matthew: 28:19-20

Resting on God’s defense

When God is present in our lives, we have with us the best defense against any attack by the devil. Whether physical (through the presence and prayers of brothers and sisters in Christ) or spiritual (through the intervention of angels), God is the One who does not wish to lose one of His children. He doesn’t allow the enemy, the devil, to get the better of Him over us, and for this He has set up the greatest defense mechanism of all, Jesus Christ, our Advocate Defender. In Christ, the devil’s accusations to condemn us are in vain. In Christ, the enemy’s attacks against us are null and void. Let’s be fully aware of this if we want to be victorious over the enemy at all times. Therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I will defend your cause, I will avenge you! I will dry up the sea of Babylon, and make its fountain dry. Jeremy 51:36

You now have what it takes to carry out God’s plans for you without fear or worry. You are strong in Christ and the devil, contrary to what some people think, has no influence over us. So let’s realize who we are in Christ, children of God, filled with the power of God, the Holy Spirit.
